THE Edo State House of Assembly has impeached Hon Frank Okiye, representing Esan North-East II, as Speaker.
The impeachment comes barely two weeks after the Governorship Election in the state, in which Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party was re-elected as Governor.
Hon Marcus Onabun, representing Esan West Constituency, was elected as the new speaker.
