THE Labour Party candidate, Alex Otti, has been declared the winner of the governorship election in Abia State.
At the end of the resumed collation of results, Otti got a total of 172,386 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the PDP who polled 8,8174.
The LP candidate was consequently declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Nnenna Oti, declared the LP candidate the winner at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Umuahia, the state capital.
