The remains of renowned music producer, OJB Jezreel, who passed away on June 14, will be laid on Friday, July 8.
A committee, consisting of friends and family members, was set up to map out preparations and ensure that things go well with the burial ceremony.
According to a family source, the committee at a meeting on Tuesday, June 21, picked July 8 for the final burial.
The source noted that a candle light procession would be held on Monday, July 4, which happens to be OJB’s birthday at Surulere, Lagos.
The wake keep ceremony holds on Thursday, July 7 at Ojez, National Stadium, Lagos.
The family source also explained that a bank account had been opened for well-meaning Nigerians to contribute to the burial arrangement.
The source said, “A bank account has been opened for people who are willing to donate towards his burial ceremony. The remaining money goes to the family members. This was the outcome of a meeting held today (June 21) by a committee set up for the burial ceremony.”
Meanwhile, the family members are said not to be happy that some top Nigerian celebrities who OJB contributed immensely to their growth are yet to pay him respect.
