BREAKING! Ondo crisis: Deputy Speaker suspended, Majority Leader resigns

THE Ondo State House of Assembly has suspended the Deputy Speaker of the House, Iroju Ogundeji, for what it described as unruly behaviour.

Another member, Adewale Williams, was also suspended, as the impeachment controversy in the Ondo House of Assembly continues.

Ogundeji was one of the lawmakers who dissociated themselves from the impeachment notice served the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

Meanwhile, the controversy has claimed one major office holder, as the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Jamiu Maito, resigned on Wednesday.

The majority leader’s letter of resignation was read by the Clerk of the House, Bode Adeyelu, during the plenary.
