Adolphus Wabara named Acting Chairman
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Walid Jubrin, has resigned. A former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, has also been named acting BoT Chairman and Political Adviser of the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
Wabara has been the Secretary of the PDP BoT. Jubrin’s position on the crisis rocking the party over the suitability of both the party’s national chairman and the presidential candidate coming from the same region (North), has been such that tends to validate the argument of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, that it is wrong.
Signs that all was far from being well with the party emerged on Wednesday when prominent governors of the party boycotted its caucus meeting in Abuja.
