Buhari appoints Audu-Ohwavborua NDDC Ag MD

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua as the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

The appointment was announced by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Umana Okon Umana on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to the Acting Managing Director which he personally signed, Umana said following the disengagement of the Interim Administrator of the NDDC, Buhari approved the appointment of Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua in accordance with extant laws governing the interventionist agency. And that it takes immediate effect.
The letter read in part, “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the disengagement of the Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission with effect from Thursday, October 20, 2022.

“President Buhari has further approved that the most senior director in the commission should take over and perform the duties of the Managing Director in acting capacity in line with the provision of the extant Federal Government Circular Ref. No. SGF.50/S.11/C.2/268.”

Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua is a Delta State born engineer and a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers.
