PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Deputy Inspector-General, Usman Alkali Baba, as the Acting Inspector-General of Police.
The former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, reached the mandatory limit of 35 years in service on February 1, 2021.
Intense lobbying began even before this time, with the President extending Adamu’s tenure by three months in February.
