Buhari lacks capacity to run Nigeria’s economy – PDP chieftain

The Convener of the Concerned Citizens of Nigeria, Ambassador Anthony Nwangwu, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari lacks the capacity to implement the programmes that will take the country out of its current economic problems.

He, however, noted that the immediate past administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan would have done better because of his “wonderful economic” programmes.

Nwangwu, who spoke with our correspondent in Warri, Delta State, added that most of the economic programmes being implemented by the present administration were those put in place by the Jonathan-led government.

The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party stressed that such programmes included the You-win programme, the Bank Verification Numbers and others so far implemented by the current All Progressives Congress administration.

According to him, Buhari would find it difficult to pull Nigeria out of the present economic quagmire because his government has found it hard to come up with its own programmes that could create and provide job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths in the country.

“My concern with project Nigeria is to ensure that Nigeria becomes viable and compete with others in the comity of nations,” he said.
