Campaign against hate speeches, Goje urges political scientists

The immediate past Governor of Gombe State, Senator Danjuma Goje, has urged students of Political Science to leverage on their wealth of knowledge to discourage hate speeches among youths in the country.
Goje, who spoke during the 2017Annual National Conference of the National Association of Political Science Students, hosted by the Gombe State University, noted that the country was now at crossroads because of hate speeches.
Represented by Alhaji Kabiru Usman Kukandaka, his former commissioner for information, Goje said that the students should use the conference to devise means of dissuading fellow youths from reeling out hate speeches, especially in the social media, which he said had, in turn, resulted in agitations from the various regional groups.
According to him, “This conference should afford us the opportunity to address these divisive issues. This is not what our founding fathers built the country on. We all, especially the youths and you the Political Science students, must say ‘No’, to this divisive nonsense”.
