Cosmos Chukwuemeka of Darling FM Owerri has emerged as the Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter. He defeated Everest Ezihe by 12 votes to 7 in a peaceful election held at the Conference Room, Imo FA Office, Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on May 18, 2024
In his acceptance speech the newly elected Chairman promised to run an open door policy that will attract development to the association. He also called on members to forget about the hotly contested elective positions and charged the new executives to hit the ground running with ideas that will reposition Imo SWAN among the committee of sports writers I’m the country.
Chukwuemeka promised to lift the fortunes of the association with utmost transparency.
