Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has emerged the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party in Ebonyi State for the 2023 elections.
Announcing the results on Sunday night, Chairman of the PDP gubernatorial electoral panel, Olalekan Rotimi, declared Chukwuma Ifeanyichukwu Odii winner having scored 349 votes.
Other aspirants, according to the panel chairman, scored as follows: Chukwuma Nwazunku (1 vote); Emmanuel Ezeh (1 vote); Chris Usulor (9 votes) and Sunday Opoke (6 votes).
Earlier, some other aspirants, Sylvester Ogbaga, Emmanuel Ezeh, Chukwuma Nwazunku and Augustine Nwazunku, had staged a walk out of the party’s secretariat, the election venue, with claims of alleged irregularities.
Other aspirants like Obinna Ogba and Anayo Edwin- Nwonu were not sighted at the venue of the election.
