The Department of State Security and the Attorney General of the Federation have been barred from arresting the Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho.

Recall that security operatives, led by the personnel of the DSS, raided Igboho’s Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State residence killing two of his aides and arresting 12 others weeks ago.

Igboho is currently facing the law in the Republic of Benin after being arrested for entering the country with an invalid passport.

Igboho, who had earlier been declared wanted by the DSS, had sued the Federal Government for the bloody attack and the destruction of his property during the night attack on his Ibadan home.

At the court on Wednesday, the Federal Government and the DSS were restrained from arresting, intimidating, harassing, and blocking Sunday Igboho’s bank account.

Justice Ladiean Akintola gave the order following an ex-parte motion moved by his lawyer, Yomi Aliu (SAN) at the court on Wednesday.

Yomi Aliu said, “The court has ordered that he must not be arrested, detained, killed in the next 14 days. The account also said that his account should not be blocked.”

The case was adjourned until August 18.
