Three auto mechanics have been reportedly crushed to death in an accident around Ekiugbo junction, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State as a young man hit them with his Lexus jeep 350.
A tricycle was also allegedly involved in the crash.
The driver of the tricycle and the four occupants of the Lexus jeep were said to have sustained varying degrees of injury.
It was learnt that the mechanics met their ordeal while fixing a truck that broke down along the expressway.
Sources said that the driver, suspected to be a Yahoo boy, was driving on top speed while returning from Effurun where he had gone shopping with his friends.
He was said to have lost control and crushed the mechanics in the process.
The remains of the deceased had since been deposited in a mortuary, while those who survived were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the command, Bright Edafe, confirmed the accident, saying that three persons lost their lives.
