Don’t allow phones, laptops destroy family bond – Huzoor AMJW

Parents have been urged not to allow phones and laptops to destroy family bond.

This  advice was given by the world leader  of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad during the annual conference of the jamaat in the United Kingdom.

He said games and activities on phones, laptops and similar devices have been the cause of breaking household these days, urging people to be intelligent and cautious in the usage of these gadgets.

“As much as we can invent new technologies for the benefit of mankind, many people in the majority of poor countries purchase mobile phones at the cost of their personal needs. Worldly people fall prey of the negative impact of modern technology but Muslims should be aware of this.”

“Modern technology has many benefits but their harm is in the process of overweighing its benefits.”

Efforts to train the children from the start must not make parents complacent towards their responsibilities. If we give preference to this world over our faith, we will become losers in this life and the Hereafter

He commended parents who prevent their children from uncontrolled exposure to electronic devices while calling on mothers to be very attentive towards the moral training of their
children.

“Proper upbringing of children in this society is challenging for religious parents who care about the future of their children and we must show extra care to protect ourselves from the evils of this day and age.

We must practically show that we give preference to our faith over all worldly objectives.”

Huzoor cautioned that the desire to have children shouldn’t merely be driven by natural instincts, but should rather be to achieve the purpose of our
creation.

“In order to have a righteous progeny, parents are expected to set a high standard of righteousness. If parents join hands In the proper upbringing of children, they will become true servants of Gracious
God.”

He enjoined parents to peak their levels of prayer and make utmost effort to save their children from the claws of
Satan.

“Efforts to train the children front the start must not make parents complacent towards their responsibilities. If we give preference to this world over our faith, we will become losers in this life and the Hereafter.”

Men were also cautioned on abuse of their wives as such acts have a very negative impact towards the upbringing of children.

“Parents should keep the environment of the home in such a way that they become role models of their children.

Parents must exercise justice in their dealings among their children, both male and female. The weakness of children must never be expressed in public. Their dignity should be respected.”
He concluded.
