Edo State Police Command indicates that it has arrested 11 suspects over allegations of murder, armed robbery and banditry.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the Command, SP Kontongs Bello, disclosed this on Friday in Benin, the state capital while briefing journalists on the achievements of the Police in the state between April 1 and April 5.
Bello explained that three suspects were arrested for alleged armed robbery, three for alleged murder, two arrested for alleged banditry and three others for conspiracy, robbery and murder.
He listed the exhibits that were recovered within the period to include three cut to size gun, one vehicle, one expended cartridge and one unused cartridge.
Other recovered exhibits included one AK-49, four empty magazines, assorted charms, three AK-49 expended cartridge, one military and one red beret.
Kontongs said, “We also recovered three mobile phones, Access Bank ATM card, vehicle number plate, three international passport, as well as a Lexus Jeep.”
The PPRO added that the Command, Abutu Yaro, was poised to fighting crimes and criminalities in the state.
According to him, the CP has assured the residents of the state that lives and properties would be protected.
He said that criminals were, therefore, advised to leave the state immediately or shun criminalities.
