Veteran strategist, Okey Emordi, has urged Rangers International FC to keep the winning team that won the Nigerian professional league trophy together ahead of next season’s Africa Champions League outing.
Emordi believed that is the only way to improve and consolidate on the present achievement next season.
“It would work in the team’s advantage if the players are kept together and work towards making good impact in the Champions League.
With my experience in the game, I know that the present team is capable of beating any team in Africa, if they maintain the momentum and increase their commitment, the sky can never limit their achievement,” he said.
The Flying Antelopes ended their 32-year wait for an NPFL title by thumping El- Kanemi Warriors on the final day of the season.
“I am very happy and delighted to see Enugu Rangers achieved this feat. Words cannot describe how I feel. I really thank God for making me see this day. A new challenge is waiting on the continent and I know that this team can make us proud. However I will like to suggest they keep the players together and work on their weaknesses as the challenge on the continent is obvious.”
