Ex-NCAA DG, Muhtar Usman, dies at 63

A former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Muhtar Usman, is dead.

Usman died on Tuesday night at the age of 63 after a brief illness.

He was said to have died at an undisclosed hospital in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Born on December 5, 1956, Muhtar became the Director-General of NCAA in October 2014, and served for five years.

He handed over to the present NCAA DG, Musa Nuhu, in October 2019.

He had also served as the Commissioner, Accident Investigation Bureau, and Managing Director of the defunct Nigeria Airways.
