As far as Okiemute Ighorodje, winner of MTN Project Fame Season 9, is concerned, fashion means “less is always more.” The 25-year-old reveals that what she considers fashionable or classy is not being flashy, when it comes to outward appearance.
“I don’t believe in wearing big or conspicuous clothes or maybe wearing too much accessories when I want to look good and fashionable,” she says.
For her, putting on so much make-up most times, make people look less stylish and classy. “So, my watchword is ‘the lesser you put together, the more beautiful you look’.”
The University of Port Harcourt graduate says, “When it comes to clothes, I love both Western and traditional wears, but most times, you will find me wearing Western casual wears, which mostly depends on my mood.”

With a contagious smile and a bubbly spirit, it is very easy to believe the Delta State-born singer, when she describes herself as a fun-loving individual.
She reveals that the Okiemute, who used to have a career in modeling, is lately following her passion as a band lead singer.
The third of four girls in a family of six, Okiemute credits her journey into the music world to one of her sisters, who she said was always quick to put her in the fore front of any musicrelated activity.
Okiemute, a first-timer in the musical competition sponsored by telecommunications giant, MTN, who was auditioned in Port Harcourt, made the decision to participate in the Season 9 of the MTN Project Fame and emerged winner because she was certain she had built enough confidence to pursue her music dreams.
