Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Mallam Mohammed Bello on Thursday led the management team of the ministry and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to the Buhari House National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
Mallam Bello said, while fielding questions from the media, that the entire management of both the FCTA and FCDA were at the APC national secretariat to say thank you to Senator Abubakar Kyari, who was recently elected the party’s Deputy National Chairman.
The minister disclosed that his administration and the entire FCT residents enjoyed the cooperation of the Senator as the Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT.
Bello added that the Deputy National Chairman guided his administration by way of oversight functions and maintained that his utmost concern was the development of the territory.
“We are here, myself, the entire managements of the ministry and the FCDA to say thank you to Senator Abubakar Kyari who we recently elected the Deputy National Chairman of our great party. Our visit is both on solidarity and thank you because while he was the Senate committee chairman on FCT, he worked in harmony with our administration. So, now that he has got another assignment, we have come to assure him of our support.”
The minister noted that the position goes with enormous challenges but maintained that the former lawmaker is capable of summounting such challenges and work for the party’s success in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
Bala was accompanied to the ruling party’s national secretariat by the Permanent Secretary, secretaries of various departments, directors of both the ministry and the FCDA.
