John Gabaya, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, has been declared as the winner of the Bwari Area Council chairmanship election in the Federal Capital Territory.
Gabaya is the incumbent chairman of the council.
Professor Amuche Madu, the Returning Officer for the Bwari Chairmanship Election, said that Gabaya, who polled a total of 13,045, defeated his closest rival, Haruna Shekwolo, of the All Progressives Congress who scored 7,697.
Gabaya was said to have been returned elected having met the requirements of the constitution and the electoral law.
