A yet-to-be-identified woman has been feared killed during the Abuja council election.
It was learn that she was knocked down by a supporter of one of the major political parties who was riding a motorcycle on Saturday.
Sources said that the female voter met her death while attempting to cross the road to her polling unit around 10:12am in PU048, Salasi, opposite Karu Post Office, in the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
The motorcyclist, flanked with the flag of one of the major political parties, was said to have acted strangely.
Those in the area reportedly arrested and handed over the motorcyclist to security operatives monitoring the election.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command earlier announced restriction of movement but later relaxed the order in a statement.
However, at about midnight on Friday, the Command again issued a notice of restriction on the ground that it received a credible intelligence that some miscreants were trying to foment trouble.
