First 16 ‘Gulder Ultimate Search 12’ contestants emerge on Sunday

The Gulder Ultimate Search season 12 is close as 16 contestants out of 20 were unveiled at the selection party on Sunday night, in Lagos.

The prime television show was rested in 2014.

The host, Gideon Okeke, unveiled the 16 contestants to the audience at the selection party.

Fans are expected to vote for the four remaining contestants. Following this, they would proceed to the jungle by midnight.

The 2010 winner of the ultimate prize and popular actor, Kunle Remi, will assume the role of the taskmaster.

The contestants will battle for the ₦50 million grand prize.

Gulder Ultimate Search 12 entitled, ‘The Age of Craftsmanship’ held series of regional screenings in Abuja, Enugu and Lagos and Sea School screening in Lagos.

The contest for the hidden treasure brings instant fame and fortune to the ‘last man’ standing.

Meet 16 of the 20 contestants:

Jennifer Okorie, known as Queen Bee, is a Philosophy student from Delta State University. No lady has won the reality show but the 22-year-old athlete wants to be the first Ultimate Woman.

Iniabasi Umoren, also called Saint Bond, is a singer and music producer. He won the ‘Kill Ma Beat’ competition in 2018, and said he had a production credit on DJ Cuppy’s album.

Tobechukwu is a 26-year-old technician, car tracker installer and student who plans to change his career and family’s current situation if he wins the GUS Season 12.

Solomon, 26-year-old fitness instructor and personal trainer, owns a fitness centre in Bauchi State.

Chidimma Okeibe is a 29-year-old project assistant who relishes adventure and wants better life.

Emmanuel Nnebe, 30-year-old paralegal, model and actor was the Face of Sapphire 2020. His aspiration is to be a lawyer someday.

Damilola Opeoluwa Odedina, 25-year-old graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, is a cinematographer and video editor.

Adedamola Johson, a digital marketer, filmmaker and a graduate from University of Lagos, draws his inspiration from James Cameron, the famous Hollywood director.

Samuel Ishmael, a 35-year-old IT expert with a multinational company in Nigeria, had made five attempts in the past to be on the GUS show but failed.

Omokhafe Racheal Bello is a 34-year-old realtor and entrepreneur, and a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University who owns a soap brand.

Godswill, otherwise known as Oreva, aged 25, is an MC; a graduate of Electrical Electronics. He runs his own event lighting company, founded in 2019.

Gerald Odeka, known as Speedstar, is a 35-year-old athlete. He won gold, silver and bronze at the 2012 edition of the National Sports Festival and was at the World Athletics Championship in Russia in 2013.

Esitima Edem is a 24-year-old hostess and a graduate of accounting from the University of Port Harcourt. She is an aspiring model.

Olayinka Omoya, 26-year-old music artiste, writer and content creator is a graduate of Bowen University.

Emiola Michael Tosin, a graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, is a 33-year-old civil servant based in Abuja. He is married with a daughter.

Mikel Mfon Esin is a freelance writer, model and ardent supporter of Arsenal who likes adventure, writing and reading. He says he is a casanova and considers himself uniquely charming.

He made it to the final selection stage of GUS in 2013 but was not selected for the contest.
