The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Gov. Mai Mala Buni has approved the composition of a National Reconciliation Committee for the party.
The Committee’s membership, drawn from the six geopolitical zones has former governor of Nasarawa State, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as Chairman, while Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the Committee, which The Point gathered had been saddled with the responsibility of reconciling aggrieved members of the party include Sen. George Akume, Sullivan Chime, Ali Saad Birnin Kudu, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Suleiman Argungu, Oluranti Adebule and Beta Edu.
A media statement signed by the national secretary CECPC, Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, which was made available to The Point stated that the date for the inauguration and terms of reference for the Committee would be communicated.
APC has found itself in intra-party squabbles, rising from the conduct of the nationwide Ward Congresses, LG Congresses and disagreement over the Supreme Court judgment in the Ondo State governorship election which the party narrowly won by 4-3 split decision.
