…Says victory will integrate South East

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has declared that the All Progressives Congress’ victory in the Anambra State governorship election billed for November 6 would integrate the people of the state into the ruling party at the federal level.
Gov Uzodimma made the declaration on Monday at the Buhari House secretariat of the party, after his inauguration as the chairman, national campaign council by the national chairman of the Caretaker Extraordinary Campaign Planning Committee, Gov Mai Mala Buni.
Uzodinma said there was no other political party beside the APC, claiming that all other political parties were in disarray.
He said, “We are confident of winning the election. Is there any other political party around? APC is the only party that is united, which is a pointer that victory is certain.”
Earlier, Gov Buni charged the campaign council to work as a team and to carry everyone along.
He also advised them to reconcile seeming differences among members of the party which might have arisen from the party’s governorship primary, to confront the election with a united front.
The CECPC chairman also called on the committee to concentrate on issues that would add value to the success of the party and avoid issues that might distract them.
“We should remain resolute, committed and law abiding throughout the assignment and beyond,” he added.
He noted that the members of the committee were carefully selected because of their individual capacities and the belief that they will collectively, as a committee deliver the state to the party.
“I have no doubt that this powerful committee under the chairmanship of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzoduma of Imo State, will do us proud and capture Anambra State for the APC.
“I am glad to say with a sense of satisfaction that the growing fortunes of the party in Anambra State and the South East geopolitical zone in general have increased our hope for victory. This will no doubt increase our chance of winning the election with a landslide victory.
“I also wish to call on the officials, party stakeholders and our loyal party members to support the committee in achieving its set target of delivering Anambra State to the APC,” he said.
The Yobe State governor called on Anambrarians to utilise the opportunity to belong to the national party.
“We should all support the committee for a successful assignment; for a brighter future and for the good of Anambra State,” Buni said.
