Governor Abiodun greets Olubara at 90, says monarch epitome of dignity, integrity

The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has felicitated the Olubara of Ibara Kingdom, Oba Jacob Omolade, on his 90th birthday.

The governor, in a statement by his spokesperson, Kunle Somorin, on Saturday, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for sparing the life of “a quintessential monarch, whose reign has brought unprecedented development to the Ibara Kingdom, especially his domain in the capital city of Abeokuta.”

Abiodun who eulogized Oba Omolade for his uprightness, wisdom and astuteness, noted that the monarch remains of the highly revered traditional rulers, not only in Ogun State, but Nigeria.

He noted that as a retired Permanent Secretary in the civil service of Lagos State, the Olubara, has brought his public administrative acumen to bear on Ibaraland.

While praying for more fruitful years and good health for the monarch, the governor said that the principle stance of Olubara stands him out of his contemporaries.

Abiodun, who further noted that Oba Omolade has been an epitome and embodiment of dignity and integrity on the throne of his forebears, declared that Ogun is indeed blessed to have a unique personality in the mould of the Olubara.

While wishing him happy 90th birthday, the governor submitted that the state will continue to drink from the royal goblet of knowledge and wisdom of the nonagenarian for a long time to come.
