Governor Aiyedatiwa appoints Adelami as Deputy Governor

A former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Olaide Adelami, has been named the deputy governor of Ondo State.

Adelami hails from Owo, the home town of former governor, late Rotimi Akeredolu.

The State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, announced his deputy in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Wednesday.

He said the name of the new deputy governor has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly for approval.

“His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today,” Adeniyan said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Governor Aiyedatiwa had announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council and also sacked some gubernatorial aides, preparatory to a series of fresh appointments in the coming weeks.
