Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a mother and her four children in a village near Sabon Tasha community, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident stating that the bandits attempted to kidnap some residents of Sabon Tasha community.
According to him, the bandits wearing Army uniform and numbering about 30, raided the community.
They were said to have attempted to enter a residence at Sabon Tasha GRA but the security agents repelled them.
The bandits reportedly proceeded to the nearby village where they kidnapped their victims.
The PPRO said that they were taken to an unknown hideout but efforts were being made to rescue the victims.
