GUNMEN, on Wednesday, attacked former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Prof. Charles Soludo.
Three of his security men were reportedly killed in the bloody attack.
The incident was said to have occurred during a meeting Soludo hosted with youths in his Isuofia community, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Eyewitnesses said Soludo’s whereabouts was unknown, but confirmed his safety.
Our correspondent could not readily confirm reports that some people, including the Commissioner for Public Utilities, Emeka Ezenwanne, who also attended the event, were whisked away by the hoodlums.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident, said he would be able to talk more later as he was still gathering information about the ugly occurrence.
