Some unidentified gunmen reportedly killed two police orderlies attached to the Enugu State Commissioner for Lands, Chidi Aroh, in Anambra State.

It was learnt that the two officers, Insp. David Adabu and one Insp. Solomon, were killed by the gunmen who ambushed them while returning from a visit.

“Gunmen ambushed their Hilux van in a community in Anambra, shot and killed them while the commissioner was lucky to have escaped in his SUV,” a source was quoted as saying.

He added that the hoodlums escaped with the police rifles.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, Toochukwu Ikenga, could not confirm the incident at the time of filing this report.

However, the commissioner, while confirming the attack, expressed gratitude to God for saving his life.

He said, “We give God all the glory. I thank God for saving my life.”
