A nursing mother, Mrs. Adetola Ogunjobi, has pleaded with the President of Meiran Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, in Lagos, to dissolve her marriage to Sunday Ogunjobi. Adetola accused her husband of committing adultery with their church members, adding that he also demanded for sex the very day she put to bed.
She said, “My Lord, it is with a heavy heart that I have to tell this honourable court some of the agonies I underwent in the hands of my husband. I can boldly tell you that my husband is a devil from hell. He is very wicked besides being a sex pest who had, many times, had illicit affairs with church cleaners.
“To cap his act of wickedness, he repeatedly demanded for sex the day I put to bed. But I rejected his overtures and wondered if any reasonable man would ever do that to a woman he professed to love.”
Responding to the allegations, Sunday confirmed that he truly demanded for sex the very day his wife put to bed, and that his wife objected. Ogunjobi told the court that he was not happy with his wife for turning down such a request, because, both of them had never, for a while, agreed on any matter.
Having listened to both parties, the President of the court noted that the relationship between the couple had broken down irretrievably and the marriage was dissolved after series of adjournments
