A Catholic priest, Reverend Father Timothy Ngwuta, has escaped death after an encounter with some unknown gunmen.
The cleric, serving at Mater Dei Parish Mgbalukwu in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was said to have encountered the daredevil gunmen at Agbaelu Agba community on February 18, 2023 on his way from Abakaliki, the state capital.

Ngwuta, in a statement, noted that he lost his 4runner Toyota Jeep during the attack, which occured at about 5:30pm. He said the vehicle was snatched at gun point.
The priest, however, appealed to all and sundry to assist him with any valuable information that would lead to the recovery of the stolen car.
