I chose music to glorify God – Akpati

Music to Akpati Ikechukwu Kerry is all about serving and glorifying God. Though, he started out as a secular musician, he has never regretted drifting into the gospel music world.
The 27-year-old singer understands that people are highly influenced by what they hear and listen to, especially the young ones.
He said, “I want people to be blessed by my music and I want to change the mindset of people through my music as well.”
Akpati admitted that it took a lot of money, time and effort to make quality music. “Financing and promoting songs have been challenging, but I thank God for the kind of manager I have,” he said.
The Delta State indigene, who wishes to become notable like Sinachi, Frank Edward and Eben, noted that his new single, ‘Psalm 91’, is an alternative or folk music. He described it as a song for everyone who was created by God.
“I plan to release my debut album very soon. All I want to do is to make a difference in the industry,” he said.
