I knew Dammy Krane’ll be freed, says 2baba

Not too long, Nigerian musician, Oyindamola Emmanuel Johnson-Hunga, better known as Dammy Krane, was involved in a fraud mess and charged to court in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States.
Though the charges were later struck out, the incident has become a major dent on his image.
Dammy Krane’s one-time boss, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, has, however, said that he knew that he would be set free, even before the court’s decision.
2baba, who celebrated his birthday with a party last week, said, “I knew that Dammy Krane would be freed. But you know that you still have to go to court and clean your name. It was just unfortunate that something like that happened. I would say he was at the right place at the wrong time. He went for a show, and somehow, some people who traveled with him were not clean. It could have happened to anybody.
“It almost happened to me once, too. There was a time I went for a show somewhere in Europe and the ticket was bought with fraudulent card. It almost caused me problems, but once it was cleared that I didn’t buy the ticket myself, I was let go. So, let’s be careful.”
On Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless concert, which comes up on October 22, 2baba insisted that this year’s edition would be better.
“For me, it is just keeping that spirit alive. That is the only place people would get to watch me on a full scale. It is not your regular show. There will be a lot of creativity and innovations. You cannot understand this until you come to watch,” he said.
For people, who think he is doing little for flood victims in Benue State, he said that he could not go beyond his capacity.
“I’m not Beyoncé, I am Innocent Idibia, 2face. I can only do what my power can do; so I don’t know where that is coming from,” he explained.
