IG commends EFCC on anti-corruption war

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has lauded the efforts of the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, to curb corruption in Nigeria.
The Police boss, who made the remark during a courtesy call of Magu to the police headquarters, assured the agency that the Nigeria Police Force would continue to provide necessary support and cooperation to the anti-graft agency in tackling corruption and other areas of its operations.
Idris encouraged the EFCC boss and wished him more successes in running the affairs of the Commission. He assured him of Police participation on the EFCC forth coming project tagged “Women against Corruption Project”.
Magu, who congratulated the IGP on his appointment, also commended the police boss for the good working relationship between EFCC and the Nigeria Police Force. He used the opportunity to seek for more support and cooperation of the IGP on other activities of the commission.
The EFCC Chairman added that he had observed keenly several achievements recorded by the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of the IGP in the fight against crime and criminality across the country.
