CHIEF Of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, is in a crucial meeting with top commanders of the Nigerian Army over the current security situation in the country.

The meeting, it was learnt, was convened to chart a definite path forward in view of the violence and unrestrained looting and armed robbery across Nigeria in the last few days.

The meeting is holding at the Army Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The looting spree and lawlessness got to a peak after last Tuesday’s Military attack on #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had directed the police commanders to reclaim the public space in view of the prevalent lawlessness.

Many shops, businesses and homes had been looted, private and public properties destroyed and COVID-19 palliatives warehouses raided in the wake of the violence.
