Iwobi, Bassey in action for Fulham in Brighton victory

Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey featured in Fulham 3-0 win against Son Adingra’s Brighton and Hove Albion at the Craven Cottage at the weekend.

Bassey played full time while Iwobi played 69 minutes before he was replaced by Willian.

Ivory Coast winger Adingra came in as a substitute in the 46th minute replacing Tariq Lamptey as Brighton were already trailing by 3-0.

In the twenty-first minute, Wilson scored the first goal for Fulham when Wilson cut into the area, found space for himself, and curled his effort into the far top corner after Muniz won a header between two Brighton defenders.

Eleven minutes later, Wilson and Muniz collaborated once more. Wilson provided the dangerous ball, floating it into the area from the right, and Muniz beat Adam Webster with a header that beat Jason Steele in the Brighton goal.

This season, Muniz has five goals in the Premier League, all of which have come in the previous five games.

With just the goalkeeper to beat on both occasions, Evan Ferguson—who has now failed to score in 13 league games—had two excellent opportunities in the second half.
However, he missed the first one from close range and struck Bernd Leno with the second.

Andreas Pereira had a chance to give Fulham a bigger lead earlier when he dallied too long with the ball in the Brighton area, allowing Lewis Dunk and the custodian to recover before shooting wide of the far post.

Fulham broke as Brighton sought a late goal. Bobby Decordova-Reid found Traore with a brilliant cross, and the substitute scored a low shot to complete the victory.
