…for ‘snatching’ her husband in dream
Homicide Police detectives in Okpanam Community, Oshimili North Local Government area of Delta State have arrested a jealous wife, Mrs. Stella Ifeoma Agbo, who allegedly bathed a 17-year-old girl, Miss Judith John Paul, with acid, having accused the victim of snatching her hubby in the dream.
A competent police source at Okpanam Police Station confirmed the attack.
The source stated that, the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
The source disclosed that, Judith, who suffered severe burns from the acid bath might not be able to see with one of her eyes or breastfeed her children when she eventually got married in the nearest future.
The assailant, Mrs. Agbo, it was also learnt, targeted her victim and bathed her with the acid immediately she woke up .Her claim was that, she had seen the victim and her mother take over her matrimonial home in the dream.
The victim’s mother was said to have wept uncontrollably while at the same time soliciting assistance from the general public, to come to the aid of her daughter, especially in the area of medical bills.
The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, also confirmed the incident, saying that the suspect would be arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigations.
Aniamaka said, “The girl did not snatch her husband. The suspect has not been able to tell us the motive behind her actions. Although, they were co-tenants before now. The suspect shall be arraigned in court soonest.”
