Kaduna: Police screen 2,349 recruits in 5 days

The Kaduna State Police Command, on Sunday, said that it screened no fewer than 2,349 new applicants in five days.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, the screening would continue on February 7 for the over 7,000 applicants from Kaduna State for the 2022 recruitment into the Police.

Jalige said that out of the 23 local government areas in the state, the 2,349 applicants came from 15 screened LGAs.

The LGAs are Birnin Gawri, Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Ikara, Jaba, Jama’a, Kachia, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Kajuru, Kaura, Kauru, Kagarko and Kubau, while the remaining eight LGAs would be screened on February 7.

The eight are Kudan, Lere, Makarfi, Sabon Gari, Sanga, Soba, Zangon Kataf and Zaria.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the command earlier announced that the screening of applicant for police constables in the command would begin from February 1 to 20 at the Police College, Kaduna.

Jalige, who said that the exercise would be in strict adherence with the COVID -19 protocols, urged candidates to put on their face masks.

He stated that the recruitment exercise was free of charge, warning against engaging in corrupt practices.
