Kaduna school embarks on environ awareness campaign

Students and staff of the Kaduna-based Jordan Science Academy last Saturday embarked on a sanitation exercise to raise awareness on the importance of preserving the environment by keeping it clean at all times.
The awareness campaign was carried out to inculcate the culture of cleanliness among the people of Unguwar Dosa in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state.
The exercise saw the students and teachers of the school going round the community to sweep the streets and sensitise residents on the need to properly dispose of dirt from their homes.
Fielding questions from reporters, the school’s Administration Officer, Fadilah Ismail, said the cleaning exercise would inculcate the culture of community service in their students and at the same time complement government’s efforts at improving the integrity of the environment.
