A Kano State High Court, along Miller Road, has ordered the caretaker members of the Police Community Relations Committee in Kano State to refrain from parading themselves as officials of the body pending the determination of the ongoing suit.
Justice Abdulrahman Maiwada gave the ruling following an originating summons filed by Saleh Jeli, the state chairman of the PCRC executive council.
Jeli had approached the court to challenge the dissolution of the Kano chapter of the PCRC executive council by the national leadership of the body, led by Ambasador Faruk. M.
The court directed the caretaker committee members installed by the national executive of the PCRC to desist from parading themselves as leaders of the committee pending the determination of the substantive suit.
It, however, ordered the state PCRC executive council, led by Jeli, to remain in office in the interim.
