Kogi polls: LP candidate expresses confidence in INEC, security agencies

Labour Party governorship candidate in Kogi State, Adejoh Okeme has expressed confidence in the ability of Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct free, fair and credible election on Saturday.

Okeme was also hopeful that security agencies would live up to expectation in ensuring violence-free election to allow voters come out to exercise their franchise.

He promised to provide sound leadership that would boost the living conditions of Kogi people as well as to embark on industrialization of the state

Okeme who made the pledge at a press conference in Lokoja on Thursday, assured citizens of the state of more opportunities if elected.

He said that priority would be given to employment and job creation for the teeming youths who are jobless

While noting that leadership has remained a problem of the state, the gubernatorial candidate promised a robust leadership that would be fair and transparent to all.

LP candidate also promised to give attention to the welfare of teachers, health workers and revival of the Primary Health Care system in the state.

“My administration if given the mandate will ensure improvement in education, sports and unity of the people irrespective of ethnic, political and religious differences,” Okeme said.
