Labour suspends nationwide strike

BY TIMOTHY AGBOR

The leadership of the organised labour has suspended its nationwide indefinite strike which began on Tuesday, November 14.

This came a few hours after the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong, met leaders of the organised labour over the nationwide strike.

Ribadu had earlier begged the movement to rescind its decisions on the current development, saying the attackers of Ajaero had been arrested.

The President of TUC, Festus Osifo, who led other labour leaders to the NSA’s office, said the conversations they had with the Federal Government officials would be taken to their respective organs and they would communicate accordingly.
