‘Lack of proper orientation, bane of governance’

The National Coordinator of the Change Initiative Network, Mr. Sola Adekanmbi, has urged all Nigerians to ensure the election of candidates with credible credentials in the 2019 polls.

Adekanmbi argued that many of the atrocities committed across the country were due to the inadequate orientation many of the political office holders had.

Speaking during the January meeting of the body, he said it was for this reason that the CIN had resolved to effect “corrective change” in the society.

Adekanmbi said, “We were then a community-based organisation, but now, we have grown to be in four out of the six geo-political zones of the country. This meeting is strategic in the sense that the nation is about to navigate towards next year’s elections and we need to put our heads together on how we can contribute our quota to the greatness of the country.

“Change Initiative Network stands for credibility, integrity. A person chosen as leader should lead us to the Promised Land. We are non-partisan. Once the orientation is wrong, the aptitude leads to bad character that affects the society. A lot of things are done wrongly in the country because of the kind of orientation the political office holders had.  You can’t give what you don’t have.
