Preparatory to the party’s convention slated for March 26, the All Progressive Congress committee on venue, decorations and site servicing has visited the Eagle Square, Abuja venue in readiness for the programme.
Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State who doubles as the chairman of the committee, said that the body would begin the erection of structures for the convention.
Lalong said, “We are preparing the venue for the convention. There was a science and technology exhibition which was concluded today. By tomorrow, we will start putting our structures.
“We want to ensure that the security inspects the place to guarantee that there is adequate security for all delegates and everybody that is coming here.”
The governor added that his committee engaged with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the venue and associated services were put in place ahead of the convention.
The committee was working in synergy with the committees on security and election to ensure proper coordination of delegates and electoral processes, Lalong said.
