Looking attractive is not how naked you are – Monalisa Chinda

Monalisa Chinda is many things rolled into one. Chinda is not only an actress and film producer, she is also a media personality, a philanthropist and a talk show host.

No wonder this multiple-award winning celebrity says she is not tired of being the focus of the klieg lights.

According to her, she is just starting, what with the several projects waiting to be unveiled.

A graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt, Mona, as she is fondly called, has, in the estimation of some critics, proved, in so short a time of her incursion into full time acting, that she is a world class material and one who has genuine love for the make-believe profession.

If you’re showing your cleavage, pay attention to your body type. This is because looking attractive shouldn’t be based on how naked you are. A little bit of mystery is always a nice touch

Her contribution to the world of acting in Nigeria was recognised when she was made an Ambassador for Globacom, the telecommunications giant, at a time. She is, however, roundly admired for her unique interpretation of roles and the ease with which she bumps into action.

But talking about fashion and style, she says beauty is connected with health more than anything else.

Chinda says, “Taking care of your health starts with resting, no matter how many responsibilities you have during the day, you shouldn’t let them intervene with your sleep time.

“There’s no mystery about looking good and knowing how to wear the right clothes. I love to look good and elegant. I also like makeover. It is an art and must be perfectly applied. For instance, one must avoid makeup and deodorant stains, these kinds of stains are not just unattractive, but also hard to wash. No matter how much we pay attention to avoid them, they have an annoying tendency to appear.

“Choosing the right fashion accessories is very important when shopping. Accessorising is what actually gives an outfit a personal touch. The way you accessorise is an important part of your style. Most of the garments in your colour are probably (and should be) in neutral colours, so you can combine them when you find it suitable.”

Continuing, she explains, “These are some of my secrets, and anyone can try it.  It allows you to look your best in any occasion. You can adjust your choices based on your personal style, body type and personality, which can also work for any woman out there.

“But if you’re showing your cleavage, pay attention to your body type. This is because looking attractive shouldn’t be based on how naked you are. A little bit of mystery is always a nice touch.”
