Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reportedly removed the name of former Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, from the Peoples Democratic Party national delegates list.
It was gathered that Makinde unilaterally removed Akinjide’s name from the delegates list.
A source alleged that Makinde replaced the former minister’s name with one Chief Adurodekun from Ona Ara Local Government Area of the state.
He added that Makinde’s gesture was meant to frustrate the long serving member out of the party just like he did to Chief Adebisi Olopoeyan and Mulikat Akande Adeola, among others.
The veracity of the allegation could, however, not be confirmed as of the time of filing this report as the governor’s aides declined comments on the issue.
