Man, 35, arraigned for stealing N280,000 vehicle spare parts

35-year-old man, Ifeanyi Nwachukwu, has been arraigned before an Apapa Magisterial District Court sitting in Ajegunle, Lagos, for stealing vehicle spare parts worth N280,000.00.

Nwachukwu allegedly stole the four side mirrors of two Toyota Sienna vehicles valued at N80,000.00, a set of Toyota 4-Runner vehicle dash board chrome worth N120, 000.00, and a pair of one Lexus RS330 vehicle side mirror valued at N80, 000.00. The total value of property Nwachukwu allegedly stole is N280, 000.00.

The accused person was arraigned in Court 7, Ajegunle Magisterial Court, before Magistrate N.A. Layeni, for stealing the items belonging to one  Ojukwu Isaiah Amobi. 

According to the charge sheet, “Ifeanyi Nwachukwu  ‘M,’ between the 3rd of June and 10th day of June 2018 at Freedom Street, Kirikiri Town  in the Apapa Magisterial District did steal two Toyota Sienna vehicles four side mirrors, valued at eighty thousand naira (N80, 000.00, a set of Toyota 4-Runner vehicle dash board chrome valued one hundred and twenty thousand naira (N120, 000.00), a pair of one Lexus RS330 vehicle side mirror valued at eighty thousand naira (N80, 000.00,) total value of items stolen amounts to two hundred and eighty thousand  naira (N280, 000.00), property of one Ojukwu Isaiah Amobi, and thereby committed  an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria.”
