Man, 37, docked for stealing N9m truck

A 37-year-old man, Friday Amuerodah, has been docked at an Apapa Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing a Mack truck valued at N9m.
The police said Amuerodah committed the offence at Kirikiri area of Apapa, Lagos.
According to the police, the accused person conspired with another at large to steal the Mack R-Model Truck with registration number LSR 294 XD.
The Investigative Police Officer attached to the Kirikiri Police Station, Sgt. Paul Ayepeku, who brought the accused person to court, said the property belonged to one Augustine Erhabor.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Friday Inedu, said the accused person conspired to commit stealing.
The accused person was said to have contravened sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria,
2015.
One of the counts read, “Amuerodah and another at large did steal one Mack R-Model Truck with registration No. LSR 294 XD, valued at N9m (Nine million Naira), property of one Augustine Erhabor and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria,
2015.”
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge against him.
The presiding magistrate, Mr. T.O. Babalola, granted bail to the accused person in the sum of N1,000,000, with two sureties.
