Man City extend partnership with Nissan

Uba Group

Manchester City Football Group has announced the extension of its global partnership with Nissan.

This renewal will see the partnership enter its third term.

The automaker was City Football Group’s first multi-club partner, becoming the Official Automotive Partner of the group and its football teams Manchester City, New York City FC and Melbourne City FC in 2014.

The partnership has since grown to include Girona FC and this renewal will extend the partnership further to include Sichuan Jiuniu FC.

In 2019, Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola became a Nissan ambassador and will continue in the role as part of the renewal.

Meanwhile, Dutch soccer giants Ajax have confirmed an extension of their primary club partnership with domestic cable TV provider Ziggo until 2025.

Ajax only announced a deal to extend with the Vodafone Ziggo subsidiary until 2023 in January this year. At the time, the club said that it had an option in the contract to continue the relationship until 2025. Just ten months on, that clause has now been triggered.

Ziggo first became Ajax’s shirt sponsor in 2015 in a deal worth a reported €8 million (US$9.6 million) a year, plus bonuses.
