Man steals woman’s N250, 000 cash at Lagos flour mills

…as another steals N130, 000, other items from female victim

man, Muritala Ibrahim, has been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ court for allegedly stealing the sum of N250, 000 belonging to a woman at Flour Mills of Nigeria in Apapa, Lagos.

The Investigating Police Officer, Sergeant Kalu Dennis, dragged the accused person, Ibrahim, to the court for allegedly stealing the cash sum belonging to one Mrs. Nkiru Ezema.

The prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi, told the court that the accused committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 280 sub section 1 (a) and (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

According to the charge, Ibrahim “did steal cash the sum of N250, 000.00 belonging to one Mrs. Nkiru Ezema.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A Erinle, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties with their residential and official addresses stated.

The magistrate adjourned the case till September 17, 2018 for mention

In another development, policemen attached to Satellite Police Station have arrested and arraigned in court a man, one Isong Godwin, 29, and others now at large for stealing N130, 000.00 , an IPAD valued at N60, 000.00,  a pair of wrapper, value yet unknown, and a bunch of house keys belonging to a woman, one Nkiruka Mgbeokwere.

The accused person was brought to the court by Inspector Sule Samuel attached to the Satellite Police
Station.

The prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi, said that the accused committed an offence contrary to Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

According to the charge, the accused person and others at large “did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; stealing.”

In the second charge, the accused person and others now at large, “did steal Itel IPAD valued Sixty Thousand Naira (N60, 000.00), cash sum of one hundred and thirty thousand naira (N130, 000.00),  a pair of wrapper, value yet unknown and a bunch of keys; total items stolen valued at one hundred and ninety thousand naira (N190,000.00), property of one Nkiruka Mgbeokwere.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count
charge.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A Erinle, granted him bail in the sum of N100,00 with two sureties in like sum and whose addresses must be verified.
